Features
As the displaying elements the 20 mm high 7-segment LED displays are used. The ASD48N unit can display sixteen 3-digit numbers and all numbers are red. On the customer's request we can deliver the displays also in other colors or with individually adjustable brightness of each number.
The power supply voltage can be in the range 12 to 35 V DC or 12 to 24 V AC and its presence is indicated by LEDs. The robust metal case is designed for mounting on the panel. ASD48N has the dimensions 390 × 266 × 45 mm (W × H × D). The degree of protection is IP-65 (from the front side after installation). The front side of displays is made of smoke-colored organic glass. On the glass there can be an inscription according to the customer's request.

Connection
The display have three opto-isolated 24V inputs, designed for connection to standard transistor outputs of the control system. The data are transferred by means of these signals serially. This way of connection is compatible to the way of connection of AID displays, only the time parameters are slightly different. Because the protocol of the serial transmission supports adressing, there can be connected several displays of all types of AID/ASD to the common conductors of the serial transfer. The display address is set by means of the DIL switch on the display's board.The display can also be connected to outputs of the programmable terminal APT Premium or to an additional transistor output board on the programmable terminal APT80A-24AE. In this case the data transfer from the control system to the display is completely managed by the terminal and therefore there is no need to create any serial data transfer program for the control system.
