Temperature and Power Regulators ARS-RT and ARS-ST

The temperature regulator ARS-RT and the power regulator ARS-ST were developed mainly for the plastics industry, where often arises the need for regulating temperature or heating power on many places simultaneously. The regulators can be used individually or in groups and there is possible to connect the operator terminal to them. For increasing the operation comfort and for data backup can the programs ArsView and ArsSet running on PC onder Windows operating system be used.

Basic Features of the Temperature Regulator ARS-RT

  • 32 regulation loops
  • up to 8 regulators can be connected in one local net (i.e. up to 256 regulation loops)
  • PID regulation
  • the inputs selectable for thermocouples or for unified analog signals
  • transistor outputs with PWM for solid state relays
  • parameter setting and data displaying by means of user terminal with selectable language (English, Czech, German)
  • all temperatures can be displayed simultaneously on the LED displays or on the PC-Computer
  • possibility of heating circuits monitoring (circuit break, short-circuit of switch)
  • thermocouples status monitoring (break)
  • 64 switchable sets of required temperatures
  • settable limit of maximum heating power
  • external enable input
  • external operational status outputs
  • current shocks in power supply are minimized by timely distributed switching of the heating in individual loops
  • communication line to the master computer
  • construction on the base of the modular control system ARS
  • regulators can be modified according to customer's request

Power Regulator ARS-ST

The power regulator ARS-ST is a modification of the temperature regulator ARS-RT. It is intended for such applications, where is no need for temperature regulation in individual heating zones, but the heating with preset power is sufficient. The regulator enables power control in 48 heating zones and the powers for individual heating zones can be set in range 0 to 100% of the maximum power. The power control is carried out by pulse width modulation.

The regulator has no inputs for measuring the temperature in individual heating zones, but it is equipped with one input for temperature measurement in a reference point. This measurement can be used for example for indication of sufficient warming up. The measured temperature is compared with the preset required temperature and the achieving of the required temperature is signalled on one of the regulator outputs. Both the actual and required temperature can be displayed on the LED display ASD8N.

In the internal memory of the regulator there are sets of powers stored instead of the sets of the required temperatures. The preset powers can be displayed on the LED displays ASD48N.

The further features of the power regulator ARS-ST are identical with those of the temperature regulator ARS-RT.

Program ArsView

The program ArsView runs on the PC-Computers under the operating system MS-Windows 3.1, MS-Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95 or Windows 98. Its main purpose is displaying the temperatures of all loops (for temperature regulators ARS-RT) or powers in all heating zones (for power regulators ARS-ST) of all connected regulators on the computer screen and in this way it can replace the LED displays ASD. In the difference from the LED displays this program enables an easy change of required temperatures or powers. It is used especially in applications with larger number of temperature loops or heating zones.

Program ArsSet

The program ArsSet runs on the PC-Computers under the operating system MS-Windows 3.1, MS-Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95 or Windows 98. Its purpose is backing up and restoring the regulators settings on the disk of the PC-Computer.
